Blue Fin Tankers pool ship “Da Li Hu” recently transited the new Panama Canal locks.  The 2004-built, 159,549 deadweight Suezmax tanker completed the passage on August 15.

The ability to utilize the new canal fits perfectly into the pool’s trading strategy, which focuses on global cross-hemisphere crude oil trading to create very high voyage efficiencies and superior earnings for the Blue Fin pool members.  The results of the trading strategy and the pool’s earnings performance, along with Heidmar’s renowned reporting transparency, have been the reasons the Heidmar-controlled Suezmax fleet has continued to attract new pool members and tonnage, growing to 23 ships in 2017.
