Great Eastern Expands Sigma Presence

Heidmar is very pleased to announce the addition of another Aframax to its Sigma Tankers pool.

Long-established pool partner The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited of India has committed the 2011-built, 105,000 deadweight “Jag Leela” to trade in the Heidmar-controlled Aframax/LR pool from the second half of February.  Sigma offers a combined Aframax and LR2 flexibility, global presence and performance unmatched by its competitors. The addition of the tanker increases the Sigma fleet to 43 ships and further increases Heidmar’s presence in the crude and DPP markets across six pools ranging from VLCCs (Seawolf) to Handysize (Marlin).

Aframax tankers, the workhorse of the world’s regional crude trades, are coupled with coated tonnage operating in the quickly expanding global LR2 product tanker market to provide pool members with a balanced trading portfolio and charterers with a one-stop shop for their mid-size crude and products transportation needs.

Sigma’s Aframax presence benefits from the downflow of market intelligence from Seawolf and Blue Fin pools while supplying crude, DPP and CPP intelligence to Star Tankers.
