Internships range from 3–18 months and are designed to provide information on the company’s history, structure, culture, operating and communications procedures, decision-making process, procedures, management and work ethic. Not only do Heidmar interns gain valuable on-the-job experience, many interns have been hired by Heidmar on a full-time basis.

Heidmar has a commitment to the maritime industry and in turn to the maritime institutions throughout the world. Relationships have been built with the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, SUNY Maritime College at Fort Schuyler and Massachusetts Maritime Academy at Buzzards Bay, and the Singapore Maritime Academy.
