Heidmar Marine Forum Line-Up Finalized

Heidmar’s much-anticipated Annual Marine Forum is just under a month away, and the company is very pleased to announce a full and very learned list of speakers from across a broad spectrum of the tanker industry.

Kicking off the early morning session and addressing tanker quality issues will be Capt. Fakirmohammed Kadir (Global Marine Quality Assurance Manager, International Marine Transportation), Mr. Alan Johnson (Chairman-Elect, Intertanko Vetting Committee), Capt. Andrew Smiley (Vice President – Operations, Koch Supply & Trading) and Capt. John Hill (Heidmar Inc.).

Subjects relating to trade groups and regulatory matters will follow with guests hearing from Capt. David Cotterell (Director, OCIMF), Ms. Katharina Stanzel (Managing Director, Intertanko), Mr. Brian Poskaitis (Senior Vice President, Fleet Operations, International Registries) and Michael Chalos Esq. (K&L Gates LLP).

After a networking lunch, attention will turn to commercial and operational issues.  The early afternoon session will address the outlook for the tanker market (Mr. David Saginaw, Commercial Director McQuilling Services, Inc. and Mr. John Schmidt, President & CEO McQuilling Partners, Inc.), an update on the Panama Canal (Mr. John Bamber, Principal, Wilford & McKay), Asian Oil Demand Growth (Mr. Jeffrey Goetz, Managing Director, Poten & Partners) and OSRO functions (Mr. Robert Umdenstock, Director of Corporate Relations, RESOLVE Marine).

Wrapping up the speakers section of the proceedings, a wide variety of subjects will be covered concerning high performance hull coatings (Mr. Tom Evensen, Sales Director, Jotun Paints, Inc.), fuel quality issues (Dr. Ram Vis, President, VISWA Labs), piracy (Mr. Thomas Naude, Hart International) and social media (Mr. Jim Lawrence, President, MTI Network).

Guests will participate in formal Q&A sessions with the speakers throughout the day and informal networking opportunities with the speakers and other guests at a Heidmar-hosted cocktail reception once official business has been concluded.
