About Star Tankers Inc.
Star Tankers Inc., established in 1998, is Heidmar's orginal tanker pool. It is the largest operator of Panamax/LR1 tankers in the world. It presently has twelve pool partners from around the globe. Its large fleet helps the pool to maximize its returns in the spot market. This is further facilitated by Heidmar’s worldwide presence, through chartering and operations offices in the United States, England, and Singapore.
Like all of Heidmar’s pools, Star Tankers is supervised by its shipowners through an executive committee. This structure ensures that the pool will function for the benefit and protection of all of its partners.
Star also benefits from the presence of Heidmar’s combined pool fleet of over 120 tankers, ranging in size from MR’s up to VLCC’s, through market synergies and greater economies of scale managing voyage expenses such as port charges, and bunkers.
