What We Do

Founded in 1984, Heidmar Inc. is one of the world’s leading commercial tanker operators with a fleet of over 115 vessels. From offices in the U.S., U.K., and Singapore our staff provides around-the-clock service to major oil companies and oil traders on a world-wide basis.

Heidmar manages a fleet with over 115 vessels that include aframax, panamax, suezmax, product, and vlcc vessels, as well as chemical tankers (via a joint venture called WOMAR).

Our staff includes traders dedicated to ensuring that ships operate 24x7x365, supported by a team of logistics and risk management experts.

Collectively our staff represents over 15 nationalities and speaks 20 languages. Seventy five percent of the commercial team have earned maritime degrees.

Our clients are among the world’s best-known oil and energy companies. The scores of ship owners we represent have vessels with deadweights ranging from 35,000 to 300,000 MT, which we trade in five pools.

The Heidmar pools consist of first class ship owners, who share Heidmar's commitment to quality, safety and environmentally friendly service in the transportation of crude oil and petroleum products.

Heidmar sees tremendous growth potential and profit opportunity in these new markets. Risk management is a key element of Heidmar's operations and trading strategy.

Heidmar Trading

Heidmar's freight trading business strategically aligns the interests of Heidmar and its pool members with whom it partners. Heidmar takes time charters vessels for its own account directly and by way of joint ventures and employs them in Heidmar pools alongside the tonnage of the other pool members.

Risk management is a key element of Heidmar's operations and trading strategy.  We have a dedicated freight trading and derivatives team with global coverage for the purpose of reducing the Company’s exposure to the volatility of freight and fuel prices and mitigating commercial risk, by employing sophisticated hedging strategies employed to maximize risk-adjusted returns.

Heidmar Risk Management

Heidmar is an active member of the Norwegian Options Clearing House ("NOS"), publicly-listed and based in Oslo, Norway and clears a substantial portion of its freight contracts via London Clearing House and CME Clearport.
