Our clients are among the world’s best-known oil and energy companies. The scores of ship owners we represent have vessels with deadweights ranging from 35,000 to 300,000 MT, which we trade in 5 pools, as well as chemical tankers (via a joint venture called WOMAR).

The Heidmar pools consist of first class ship owners, who share Heidmar's commitment to quality, safety and environmentally friendly service in the transportation of crude oil and petroleum products.
Heidmar sees tremendous growth potential and profit opportunity in these new markets. Risk management is a key element of Heidmar's operations and trading strategy.
Heidmar's freight trading business strategically aligns the interests of Heidmar and its pool members with whom it partners. Heidmar takes time charters vessels for its own account directly and by way of joint ventures and employs them in Heidmar pools alongside tonnage of the other pool members. Risk management is a key element of Heidmar's operations and trading strategy. We have dedicated freight trading and derivatives team with global coverage for the purposes of managing exposure to the freight markets.
Heidmar's risk management and trading strategy employs freight derivatives for the purposes of managing its exposure to the freight market and marine fuel derivative contracts are used to manage the fuel costs of operating our tanker vessels. These tools enable Heidmar to manage the "trading spread" over time charter hire to maximize trading profits. Freight derivatives enable the trading business to react quickly to changing spot market environment by supplementing its exposure in rising markets and reducing exposure during falling markets. Heidmar also provides its pool partners with the opportunity to risk manage their freight and fuel oil exposures using derivatives.
Heidmar sees tremendous growth potential and profit opportunity in these new markets.

Heidmar is an active member of the Norwegian Options Clearing House ("NOS"), publicly-listed and based in Oslo, Norway and clears a substantial portion of its freight contracts via London Clearing House and CME Clearport.
