Heidmar Concludes Another Successful Marine Forum

April 18, 2019

The 11th Annual Heidmar Marine Forum took place on April 10th and 11th in Houston, the city where the very first Marine Forum was held.  The theme this year was “Countdown to 2020: Strategies and Tactics.”

The event began with the very popular One-2-One sessions, which provide informal opportunities for shipowners and technical managers to ask for guidance or clarification on relevant issues from a host of industry representatives.

As in previous years, the Forum itself featured 12 speakers in four segments, and included lively Q&A sessions after each presentation.  Presentations during the morning session were given by representatives from leading shipping organisations that included the US Coast Guard, BP Shipping, VPS, OCIMF and Lloyd’s Register, alongside INTERTANKO’s Vetting Manager, Frans Ubaghs (presenting below).  The afternoon session included speakers from Clarksons Platou, MTI, Chalos & Co., Koch, MariTrace and HudsonTrident.  Heidmar representatives David Lockwood, Steve Huvane and Harold Boyer moderated and led these panels.

The event was rounded off with an evening reception overlooking the city of Houston.
